The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research is organizing the XXXII SCAR and Open Science Conference from 13th July, 2012 till 25th of the same month. The main theme of the conference is Antarctic Science and Policy Advice in a Changing World. The conference will focus on the committee’s dual role of science and advice to policy makers. There will be group business meetings, plenary sessions, delegates meetings etc. The plenary sessions will focus on some high level themes which are of great importance to the attendees. The topics are- Antarctic Conservation Challenges in a Century of Change; Past, Present and Future Climate Evolution and Evolution and Biodiversity in Antarctica. The plenary sessions will be followed by parallel sessions and they will have their own priorities. The scientific sessions will focus on the following areas- Antarctic Climate Evolution, Global and Regional Climate Signals from Ice Cores etc.
