About Venue
Overlooking the magnificent Connecticut River at Adriaen¿s Landing,(the city¿s new riverfront district) the Connecticut Convention Center is the latest and most idyllic venue for trade shows, conventions and business meetings that require a vivid riverfront backdrop. The Convention Center was recently opened in 2006 and is a 140,000 sq ft award-winning venue placed under the ownership of State of Connecticut. It is being proficiently supervised by the Waterford Venue Services Hartford, a subsidiary of Waterford Group and a leader in the hospitality and gaming industries. The Connecticut Convention Center is the biggest center between New York and Boston and has a 40,000 sq ft ballroom and 25,000 sq ft of flexible meeting space. Designed by Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates, the Center¿s 110-foot glass atrium rises ten stories above a majestic public plaza and a tree-lined riverfront promenade.
