About Venue
Damascus International Fairground is one of the major exhibition venue in Syria. Before 2003, an old fairground hosted Damascus International Fair. However in 2003, with the celebration of golden jubilee of the Damascus International Fair, a new fairground site was inaugurated by President Bashar Al-ASSAD. The new fairground site occupies a total space of around 1.2 million square meters. The area is almost 13 times the area offered by the old fairground. The fairground hosts numerous events round the year.

Facilities
Damascus International Fairground is a modern venue which offers facilities and services of very high standards. The venue is also one of the largest event venue in the world. Out of a total 1.2 million square meters of space, around 63000 square meters is covered exhibition space. Around 150000 square meters of space can be used for open air events. The venue also has a dedicated Business Center occupying a space of around 2725 square meters. A large parking space of around 11000 square meters is also offered by the event venue.

Nearby Tourist Attraction
The city of Damascus is one of the most visited cities of Syria. The city is visited by travelers from round the world. The Omayyad Mosque is a major attraction located in the old part of the city. The mosque has three different minarets which serve as the most prominent feature of the mosque. The mosque has a grand prayer hall and has amazing interiors. The Saladin's tomb is another attraction in the city. The tomb is located just next Omayyad mosque. The interiors of the tomb are decorated with amazing marble souks. Damascus Citadels, ST. Paul's Churches, Bimaristan al- Noury and the Azem Palace are other popular attractions in the city.
