It was in the year 1985, that the Ernst and Morial Center opened its doors to the world, however its conceptualized development had already started in 1978. The convention center has since then emerged out as a potential platform by capturing a large part of the business in the convention market. Thereby having a massive impact on every aspect of the local tourism and hospitality market .The center has 140 upper level meeting rooms, two lavish ballrooms and a 4,032-seat conference center auditorium. The Center has 1.1 million sq ft of adjoining space on one level in one building and has 12 combinable exhibit halls.
