Fernsehturm: Fernsehturm or the ‘pope’s revenge’ was built by the communists at the height of the cold war. Located in the East Berlin, Fernsehturm is actually a TV Tower built in the 1960’s. Located on Alexanderplatz, the revolving Telecafe at the top of the tower offers both a place to sip a cup of coffee while gazing over Berlin.
Pergamon Museum: The home to a vast collection of ancient articrafts the Pergamon Museum takes its name from one of its prized exhibits, the altar from the Zeus Temple in Pergamon (180-160 BC) and the magnificent Antique Collection, the East Asian Collection, the near Eastern Museum and the Islamic Museum.
Tierpark Berlin-Friedrichsfelde: The Tierpark is over 160 hectares and has a vast collection of animals like the Alfred-Brehm-Haus- the breeding group of cats, the elephant enclosure, the sea cows and rhinoceroses, the giraffe and monkey enclosures, the crocodile house, the tropical atrium, the bear enclosure and the fauna of Africa.
Tiergarten Park: Peter Joseph Lenne transformed a hunting ground for the Prussian Kings, the Tiergarten Park into a park with a series of paths, lakes, sculptures and flowerbeds in the 18th century. Devastated during the WW II it was replanted and regained its former glory in the year 1950.
