About Venue
The Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium is situated at Kadavanthra of Ernakulam District, Kerala. It is recognized as multi-purpose high class indoor stadium using Swedish technology on its floor space with 20,000 square feet playing area. It was constructed at a cost of Rs.5 crores in 1993 . On 19th December, 1993, Mrs. Sonia, UPA Chairperson, dedicated this stadium to the country. With 10,000 seating capacity, it is the single most multipurpose world class sports center of India which is vested on 4 acres of land. The stadium is backed with world class amenities. There are 12 shuttle badminton courts, 3 basketball courts with total 100,000 seating capacity.

Facilities
It is equipped with all types of facilities for successfully organizing any event. With the availability of ample space, it is the only multipurpose high class sports center in through the India. With the seating capacity for 1,00,000 people, it has 12 Shuttle Badminton Courts or 3 Basketball Courts or 3 Volleyball Courts etc. Constructed by using Swedish technology, these courts are also used for organizing of exhibitions, car shows, weddings etc.

Nearby Tourist Attraction
There are various tourist spots in Kerala which worth to visit. The St. Francis Church is known as the oldest existing European church in India. Before being shifted to Portugal, Vasco da Gama's remnants were buried over here. The Cheeyappara Waterfalls cascades into 7 steps and create a magical view of water. It is a great place to visit.
