About Venue
Functional since 1999, the Shanghai International Convention Center is considered as one of the finest buildings in P.R. China. The convention centre has been a host to several world class meetings and high level summits. The venue has witnessed conventions like - World Engineers Convention, Fortune Global Forum and APEC Leader's Summit. The venue is located in the heart of Lujiazui which is a financial centre of Shanghai. The Oriental Pearl tower and the Bund are also located near to this magnificent venue.

Facilities
Shanghai International Convention Center is an event venue that has been a major player in the Shanghai trade fair market in the past one decade. The venue has established itself as one of the top event venues in Asia. The convention centre houses the largest ballroom of China, the Grand ballroom. The ballroom can house 3000 people at one time and is located on the 7th floor. Apart from this the Shanghai International Convention Center also offers 28 large meeting/conference rooms. The multifunctional meeting roof are equipped with high end IT facilities and advanced video and audio equipments. The other facilities at the convention centre include - an advanced fitness centre, indoor swimming pool, an outdoor tennis court and a sauna & massage parlor. The Oriental Riverside Hotel is also located within the centre and it offers around 260 rooms.

Nearby Tourist Attraction
Being a major commercial and financial centre of China, Shanghai is visited by millions of tourists each year. The 468 meter high Oriental pearl TV tower is a spectacular sight in Shanghai. The tower looks its best when it is illuminated by lights at night. One can have panoramic view of Shanghai through several observation decks on the tower. The tower is situated just adjacent to the Shanghai International Convention Center. The Bund, which is located in front of the centre is another popular tourist attraction in Shanghai. The Bund consists of a series of historical landmarks and buildings alongside Huangpu river.
